The Boathouse Cello Choir of Jacksonville is an ensemble of amateur cellists who have established a composition contest to encourage the creation of original works specifically for the Boathouse Cello Choir. The Contest has a purse of $1,000 and other prizes donated by a team of sponsors including Strings Magazine.
The Contest has an entry deadline of February 1st, 2014, and notes on the submitted works are now being posted on BoathouseCelloChoir.com. All styles of music are welcome and many styles of music are being submitted. However, at the present time, there are few entries in the “Under 21” category.
PLEASE NOTE - THERE IS STILL TIME TO ENTER THE CONTEST!
Visit BoathouseCelloChoir.com for contest information.
